About Ms. Griffith

Hello! My name is Kimberly Griffith and I am one of the third grade teachers at Paideia Academy. I grew up here in Apple Valley, MN from the time I was 18 months old. I have three older siblings and now enjoy being an auntie to eight nieces and nephews! Since I was in elementary school myself, I have loved children and wanted to be a teacher. After graduating from Apple Valley High School, I attended Northwestern College (now called University of Northwestern, St. Paul) where I graduated in May 2012 with a degree in Elementary Education and an additional specialty in preprimary education. I then continued to work as a preschool teacher at All God’s Children daycare, where I had worked since high school, and also began subbing at Paideia Academy and in the Rosemount/Apple Valley/Eagan and Farmington school districts. That year, I was asked to be a long-term sub in both 4th grade and kindergarten here at Paideia and then I was hired as a second grade teacher in 2013. I have enjoyed teaching 2nd grade the last two years and am enjoying teaching 3rd grade this year!

In addition to teaching, I enjoy spending time with family and friends and being involved in my church. In my free time, I also like going on walks, playing my clarinet in the Rosemount Community Band, watching movies, playing games, reading, and doing crafts.

I am looking forward to a great rest school year and being able to continue to get to know your children and play a role in their academic, social, and emotional development. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have. Thank you for partnering with me in helping your child be successful!

Sincerely,
Kimberly Griffith
